Lady Mem'fis
A Legendary Jazz & Blues Vocalist
Struttin' on the pavement, swank and slinky, going uptown and downtown.....She had a voice like a coronet. She sang standards. She bantered. The view behind her looked like a painted backdrop for a late-night TV show called "Live From San Francisco."

Lady Mem'fis was wearing a slinky off-both-shoulders black dress with spangles and sparkles. It was a jazz singer sort of dress. people assume she's from Memphis, of course, but she isn't. Musicians added the Lady. Wasn't her doing. But calling Jazz singers "Lady" is an ancient tradition.
